Laravel Cloud
Product · first recorded February 2025, with Laravel 12 (monitor:710, 376)
Laravel's own managed platform. Push a branch and Cloud builds an image, runs your deploy commands and rolls it out with no downtime. Compute, databases, caches, queues, storage and the edge come from one canvas, billed as usage on top of a plan.
Specification
Kind Managed platform (PaaS), operated by Laravel on AWS
Interface Dashboard canvas, a REST API and a CLI; deploy hooks for CI
Runs on PHP, Node, Bun, Deno, Go, Python and Ruby; Next.js beside Laravel
Installed by connect a repository · push to deploy (default) · POST deploy hook
Voice none (Commands tab · Cloud CLI · API)
Scales by Replicas by active requests, CPU or memory; Flex sleeps to zero
Range Cloud: this is it; Private Cloud since Jan 2026 (monitor:497)
Forge, VPS: the alternative: your servers, Forge provisions them
Vapor: the alternative, Lambda; Cloud docs carry a migration guide
Neighbours
Forge is the same company's answer when you own the servers. Vapor runs Laravel serverless in your own AWS account; it is closed to new sign-ups and runs on for existing customers. Private Cloud is Cloud in a dedicated cluster. On Cloud, Laravel operates the infrastructure.

Parts
1 Repository. A push to the connected branch triggers a deploy; a deploy hook URL or the CLI does the same from CI.
2 Build and deploy. An image for the runtime, then composer install --no-dev && npm run build; migrate runs just before go-live.
3 App cluster. Flex or Pro replicas behind the load balancer; Octane and Inertia SSR are toggles; Flex can sleep to zero.
4 Resources. MySQL, Serverless Postgres, Valkey, object storage and WebSockets, with credentials injected as env.
5 Managed queue. Own workers, scaled by queue depth; Flex queues drop to zero when empty. QUEUE_CONNECTION=cloud is set for you.
6 Edge. Cloudflare in front: TLS, DDoS protection, asset caching and a WAF, plus a laravel.cloud domain per environment.
Hidden joinery
Scale to zero restores a checkpoint of process state instead of cold-booting: new Flex sizes wake in under 500 ms, legacy ones in 5 to 20 s; a failed restore cold-starts without a request error (monitor:563). A scheduler outside the app wakes it for tasks. QUEUE_CONNECTION=cloud takes jobs dispatched with no connection.
